About
Most of this industry makes money in the gap between what a sale costs and what they tell you it costs. We decided to print that number instead, and build the rest of the company around being able to.
1st Bankcard Services is a credit card processing company for small businesses. We publish our markup: interchange at cost, plus a flat 10-cent markup per transaction, and no percentage on top.
The payments business runs on confusion. Tiered rates, padded interchange, free terminals that are not free, and a renewal that nudges your rate up while you are not looking. It works because a statement is hard to read and most owners are busy running a shop, not auditing a processor.
We took the opposite bet. One published price, interchange plus a flat dime, with no percentage markup hiding inside it. When a merchant can understand their true cost in ten seconds, the pitch is already over. The clarity is the product.
That choice constrains us in useful ways. We cannot quietly raise a rate that is printed on a public page. We cannot win a deal we should lose, because the analyzer will say so. And a free terminal? It changes nothing here, because the markup is the same dime either way.
How we make money
$0.10 / txn
A dime per transaction. That is the only thing we earn on a sale. No second revenue line hidden in your effective rate, and the one yearly PCI compliance fee is on the pricing page, not a surprise.
The people behind the numbers
A transparent brand should put real names next to its claims. This section is a placeholder until those bios are in place.

The fastest way to judge us is your own statement.
We would rather show you the number than tell you about ourselves. Send it and see.
